Open Notebook – Living with Cool Moss

What is in a name?

Dogs in my life are really about my growth as a person.  Miss Ruby of Maitlandroc started the journey!  From then on the names of my dogs reflect my personal growth journeys. Spirit was named after Oprah Winfrey's series “Finding your Spirit,” and Favor got her name through my following of Joel Osteen and his series on bettering yourself and on the gifts you receive through life because of having God's Favor. In 2009 I spent four days at a Tony Robbins seminar with my friend Susan Garrett; the experience was more than I had prepared for.  We participated in a “fire walk” in which we walked across 12 feet of fire-hot coals.  The preparation included focusing your mind on the words "cool moss."  The lesson of the experience for me is:  you can do anything you put your mind to. My next dog was destined to have a fire walk theme name…out of that grew his kennel name of On Target's Fire Walker!  Susan along the way planted the seed for a  call name of  “Cool Moss” –  which I loved. Cool Moss was born September 25th 2009,  bred and nurtured by Lisa Kronz from On Target Border Collies in Garland Texas.  His sire is EyespyThe Flash – owned by Frank Yang and the Dam is Hob Nob Brick co-owned by Mary Kline and Lisa Kronz….and now living in Delaware, Ontario Canada with us!
